Positive: Peacefulness. Bed very comfortable. WiFi is excellent. The kitchen had everything that was needed. The shower was good, and the temperature and water pressure were perfect.
Negative: There is no mention within cottage narrative on website or photographs of property being a split level having to negotiate four internal steps. Property very cold, in part due to warped front door and bathroom window unable to be closed fully. Heating needed to be on longer than deemed necessary due to drafts. No sight or sound from owners during arrival or throughout stay, a greeting, however brief, would have been nice. Accessibility via drive is exceptionally poor, so many potholes, some very deep with potential damage if driven over carelessly.
Summary: A peaceful vacation.

Positive: Lovely little location which was nice and secure for our dog. Owners greeted us on arrival and were lovely. Bed was very comfy, good night sleep and it's really peaceful. The place is nice & cosy and heated up quickly with the heaters on. Everything you need including a small jug of milk for a cuppa when you get in.
Negative: TV could have had a bit of dusting 😂 but very minor. Everywhere else was nice and clean & in good working order. Be aware the driveway is an old farm track so go slow otherwise your be replacing your suspension!

Positive: The host welcomed us when we arrived, even though it was late. He also allowed us to charge our car which was very nice.
Negative: The bed is a bit on the small end. While we stayed in summer, I can see how it would be difficult to heat the place in winter. Some salt or oil would be great.

Positive: I was staying in the area for work and Toadstools gave me the space and independence I prefer for several days away. The house is very secure and secluded and Mark gave me a very warm welcome when I arrived. The complementary milk and jam rings were much appreciated! I would rate the accommodation as good, although it was let down by a couple of small but important points. I really didn’t like the fact that the curtains didn’t fully cover the window widths and there was no curtain at all provided for the half-glass front door which I had to cover up as best I could with a blanket. They were also rather thin and unlined, so there was a lot of moonlight coming in at night, which bothered me. I stayed during a windy week and automatic lights in the path to the cottage annoyingly kept switching on and off all night which made this worse. I think the sensors were being repeatedly triggered by movement of large garden plants nearby. Also, the windows of the house don’t fit very well or are broken (bathroom) and with the chilly winds early in the week the place felt rather cold. I really appreciated the small fan heater that was provided, a nice touch. And as a working person, it was great that the Wi-Fi worked well.

Positive: Very close to some local fields for walking the dog. Owners were very responsive and helpful by WhatsApp. Felt very private even though it was on the grounds of a larger property.
Negative: The bed was slightly creaky, but I'm a light sleeper.
